If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or fall ill with COVID-19 symptoms once the course has begun, you will be expected to self-isolate for 14 days, as per government guidelines, or the latest government advice if applicable. During those 14 days, the lead teacher will arrange for you to join the group sessions remotely, if you are well and it is appropriate, and will help you make-up any missed work on a schedule that works for you.

If the student is unable to attend the training due to illness or injury, a refund can be discussed upon presenting a doctor’s letter. Cancellations on the client’s behalf for any other reasons will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Any other cancellations made by participants once the course has commenced will not be subject to a refund.

You must sit a minimum of 90% of the course hours in person. If you miss more than this, you will not be able to qualify for the certificate at the end of the course.

If you miss any additional contact hours, you will be expected to make them up with the SYT or other relevant teacher within 1 month of the end of the course, and you will be charged for these hours at an hourly rate agreed upon with the teacher.

You may re-sit either the written or oral exam if you do not pass either during your first sitting.

You will be expected to arrive 10 minutes before the start of all sessions and to treat the practice space with respect.

You will be expected to keep your belongings tidy.

The SYT, the training course (Yoga Retreats and Trainigns Ltd) and the practice space are not liable for the damage or loss of any valuables brought with you to the practice space.

Health and Injuries

The student acknowledges that neither the instructor, nor Yoga Retreats and Trainings LTD is liable for any injury, or damages to person, resulting from the taking of a class.

It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any injuries or changes in health at the start of class. Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention and the student should consult a medical professional prior to beginning any activity programme such as yoga.

If at any time during the class, the student feels discomfort or strain, they will come out of the posture and notify the instructor. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day.

Surgical procedures: It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any operations or surgical procedures in the past six months. Teachers have the right to refer students back to their GP.

Pregnant or post-partum: Students who are pregnant or have given birth within the last three months must inform the teacher at the start of class.

Cancellation of the course

The SYT reserves the right to cancel the course at any date before training commences, for any reason, and refunds will be offered to all participants in this event.
