I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the weekend as a whole – and how all the different parts came together. The surroundings were fabulous and the hosts were great. It was great to have yoga inside/outside/in the water. I would definitely return to another retreat there if you were having one. The weekend was also great value for money. The yoga classes themselves were fabulous – varied, well-timed, fun, interesting, restful, stimulating – I was very much struck by your ability to be part of the group and the teacher at the same time – and I felt that you were very attuned to the group as a whole as well as individual needs within it. It seemed that everything happened very naturally but I suspect you were working very hard. I enjoyed your lessons, from the challenge to the peace, and also the philosophy and approach. It seemed like all bases were covered! I was really impressed!

You can see that Jose and JJ are really committed to their retreat and making it a worthwhile experience for all. JJ’s food was superb, overall the standard was amazing. AA’s organisation and the classes were out of this world, particularly enjoyed the morning classes under the canopy in the open, with lots of animal noises in the background. Just bliss. SUP Yoga was brilliant – even though hard – such a good experience!

Sonder YogaRetreats & Trainings was created with one idea in mind: to offer affordable yoga retreats, teacher trainings, immersions and seasonal yoga events. Anais Alvarado founded this company drawing from her experience running yoga studios and her own retreats, as well as those supported by other experienced teachers. It offers an alternative to anyone looking to deepen their yoga training or just take a break from their hectic day to day, without breaking the bank.
Our retreat venues are carefully selected, and we ensure there’s something for everyone. We often go back to the same venues because we just love them so much! We aim to offer a comfortable space, with lots of optional activities, spacious yoga rooms, and delicious local food. We welcome everyone to our retreats, no matter your age, level of experience, gender or size. We just want to do everything we can to help you unwind and recharge.
Our yoga trainings are devised by some of the best teachers in the UK and Europe. With a broad syllabus, interesting content and an up-to-date approach, we aim to help teachers find their own voice and stand out doing what they love. In 2020 we began to offer Further Trainings for teachers, ranging from Yin Yoga trainings, to full 300hr programs divided in 3 independent modules. And we aim to offer these every year.
For those who don’t have time to go on a retreat and aren’t quite interested in becoming yoga teachers, but love the practice, we have a wide variety of one-day trainings and day retreats where you will be able to disconnect from your fast-paced week and take some time for yourself, to learn something new.
Yoga believes in transforming the individuals before transforming the world. Whatever change we want to happen outside should happen within.

Brooklands is a stunning 19th century Sussex barn, lovingly converted into a fabulous venue, available all year round hosting retreats, family celebrations, and corporate meetings. Brooklands can accommodate groups of up to 20 people, with 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Facilities include an indoor heated pool, sauna, 2 dedicated studios, 2 treatment rooms and 2 acres of private land and private parking. We are situated in an enviable location of just under a mile from historic Arundel in West Sussex. A stone’s throw from the South Downs National Parkand 4 miles from local beaches. London only 75 minutes and Gatwick 45 minutes by car or rail.

Sammati Wellness Finca is located 40 min drive from Alicante airport and 30 min drive from Murcia airport. It is owned by a lovely couple who are passionate about yoga. JJ is a yoga teacher and a fantastic chef. She has made sure the space has all the props and comfort needed for the perfect yoga session. Jose is a friendly, active and dedicated former civil engineer who is passionate about the region and is never short of activities and things to do. They make the perfect hosts and when you stay at Sammati you feel pampered and taken care of.
Sammati is only 20 min away from the beach, it has an indoor yoga room and an outdoor yoga terrace, a big pool, outdoor jacuzzi, hammocks, lots of hiking routes, a therapy room and comfortable bedrooms.
As part of your retreat at Sammati you get free airport transfers and a really fun session of SUP or paddleboard yoga in the sea!
Suncokret Body & Soul Retreat is a unique boutique holistic retreat centre on Hvar Island, in the charming village of Dol Sveta Ana, a pristine 12th Century hamlet discretely nestled into the verdant brush & pinewood forest which rises above the island’s oldest settlement, Stari Grad. Guests are situated in 1 of 7 rooms within 3 semi-attached cottages, according to both preference and availability. Cottage communal areas, including bathrooms, lounges, balconies, terraces, etc. are shared between guests and hosts alike, along with life stories and special moments. A spiritual, “shabby-chic”, Dalmatian island farm-cottage ambiance prevails, and the atmosphere here is that of a supportive family of spiritually-minded friends.

As part of our weekly program, we offer the chance to explore the best of Hvar Island’s natural, historical and cultural spots via our scheduled (but optional) daily outings. In addition, the scheduled afternoon program sessions by the sea and in nature will have you enjoying holistic practices in amazing locations, full of natural wonder and beauty. The end of the retreat week is topped-off by a magnificent sunset adventure that will deliver you in body, mind, and spirit, to the divine light of the sun.

If you are looking to become a yoga teacher, a foundation 200hr teacher training is the first stage in your teaching journey. To make the most of this training you should have a dedicated yoga practice of, ideally, at least a couple of years. Based on your experience on the mat, and with some advice from your favourite teachers, you should be able to decide what style of yoga you should complete your foundational training in.
We recommend you train in a style you feel familiar with, and that you try to attend the teacher’s public classes at least a couple of times so you can see whether you like their teaching style and energy. You will be spending quite some time with your teacher during the training so it is ideal that you feel comfortable around them and inspired by the way they share the practice.

Yoga teachers are constantly learning. We learn from our own practice and we learn from our students. However, it is always good to go back to training and delve deeper into the teachings. Whether it is creative sequencing, alignement, adjustments or new teaching styles; there is always room to widen our knowledge of the practice.
All our further training offerings qualify as continuing professional development (CPD) points. We update our offering every year in accordance to what we believe is needed in the current yoga world, aiming to offer updated and relevant content in every module.
